Pepco Holdings selects new MDM system for its AMI deployment

Liberty Lake, WA, Mar. 6, 2008 — Itron Inc. announced a contract with Pepco Holdings Inc. (PHI) to deliver Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE) meter data management (MDM) solution to support PHI’s data management needs associated with its advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment.

The contract is intended to support PHI’s “Blueprint for the Future” initiative designed to meet the nation’s energy and environmental challenges through a combination of energy efficiency programs and new technologies.

PHI expects to collect data from nearly 2 million meters in its service territories. In addition, PHI will deploy Itron Revenue Protection Suite and Curtailment Manager to improve revenue assurance and peak load management capabilities. Both software products run on Itron’s IEE platform.
