Sequentric, Incenergy announce partnership

Austin, Texas, October 13, 2010 – Sequentric Energy Systems, a smart grid technology innovator, and Incenergy, a smart grid software company and energy management systems integrator, announced a strategic partnership to deliver cutting-edge energy management solutions.

Sequentric‘s Internet Protocol-based hardware and software systems give utilities and systems integrators such as Incenergy, a wide range of proven, flexible, cost-efficient smart grid options.

By enabling demand consumption and information management along with a variety of control and storage innovations, customized smart grid networks can be easily configured and deployed.

Incenergy’s energy management system platform provides visibility and control of a building’s energy consumption through a variety of ways – a customized web-portal, e-mail, text messages and in-home displays, in order to maximize energy savings by scheduling temperature settings and power consumption to optimize efficiency and rate changes.

The system aggregates the peak demand savings from each end-point to enable the utility to manage the grid’s power load more effectively, reduce brownout emergency events, as well as avoid construction of new generation capacity to meet peak demand.

Recently, Incenergy was selected to be the first to deploy advanced smart grid systems for the Pecan Street Project in Austin, Texas. Funded by a Department of Energy grant through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, this project will involve 1,000 volunteer homes.
