Siemens joins OpenADR Alliance board

The OpenADR Alliance named Siemens a sponsor member of the OpenADR Alliance. As a sponsor member, Siemens joins the board of directors comprised of Southern California Edison (SCE), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), AutoGrid, EnerNOC and Honeywell.

Each company provides leadership and direction in setting strategic objectives and operating policies for the alliance.

The alliance now has more than 100 alliance members with a rapidly growing global presence. Siemens’ commitment follows the release of the OpenADR 2.0b Profile Specification and a rising interest in OpenADR in Asia, which this summer saw highly successful interoperability test events and workshop in Japan, followed by the execution of a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Smart Grid Association (KSGA).
