Silver Spring Networks displays smart grid platform at DistribuTECH

San Diego, January 31, 2011 — Silver Spring Networks will offer a high definition, panoramic Google Earth display of its end-to-end smart grid solution to DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition attendees from Feb. 1 to Feb. 3 at booth #719.

The state-of-the-art, seven panel, 360-degree exhibit will showcase Silver Spring’s Smart Energy Platform at work, including power outage response, distribution automation (DA), home area network (HAN) deployments and global implementations based on real data.

Silver Spring Networks’ unique use of Google Earth and utility data visualizes the benefits of the company’s Smart Energy Platform. From outage responses to HAN deployments, the exhibit will offer tours of Silver Spring’s expanding smart grid solutions.

Visitors can use a touch screen console to view deployments all over the world and pick from a number of guided tours visualizing power outage response, HAN deployments, global implementations and more.

In addition, the exhibit will highlight the expanding benefits of Silver Spring’s open IPv6-enabled platform, such as Distribution Automation, Voltage and VAR Optimization (VVO), Advanced Metering, and Demand-Side Management.
