Telvent adds capabilities to smart grid suite

Helsinki, October 11, 2012 –Telvent recently upgraded its Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS 3.3) to feature several leading-edge additions, making it the first-ever system to seamlessly merge full-feature distribution management, outage management and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions.

With the enhanced technology offered by Telvent, utilities can deploy DMS, OMS and SCADA with a common network model, security infrastructure, integration services and training platform all managed in a unified, role-based user interface.

With new network planning functions and an improved web client, utilities have the flexibility to manage all ADMS applications in one secure user experience, making network operations and planning flexible, simple and accessible both inside and outside the control room.

With this upgrade, utilities also will benefit from the improved ADMS Training Simulator, a training module that will help utilities prepare operators and dispatchers for a full variety of scenarios in order to perform their jobs safely and reliably.

Telvent’s advanced DMS is currently deployed in more than 26 countries and serves 68 million utility customers.
