Adrian Tuck, CEO of energy management technology provider Tendril, has been appointed to the GridWise Alliance Board of Directors. The GridWise Alliance is a smart grid advocacy coalition composed of public and private stakeholders with the mission to transform the electric grid to achieve a sustainable energy future.
Tuck was one of 20 board candidates presented to the GridWise membership for approval during the alliance’s annual membership meeting on December 7, 2010 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Tuck will begin his two-year term on January 1, 2011.
Fulfilling the GridWise Alliance’s mission to transform the electricity sector requires active participation and input from a diverse group of industry leaders,” noted Tuck. “I am pleased to serve an important role in such a well-regarded and powerful organization.”
As the nation and the world move toward the realization of the Smart Grid, enterprises both large and small are introducing, adapting and improving existing technologies to find solutions to the complex generation, storage, communication, networking, and delivery challenges that lie ahead. The GridWise Alliance is the forum for these new ideas and concepts, serving to facilitate and track the conversation; to engage local, state and federal governments to create the policies and regulations that will support these efforts; and to ensure that everyone moves collectively and confidently toward a sustainable energy future.
