Redwood City, CA — May 28, 2009 — Trilliant Incorporated, an energy efficiency, utility operations and renewable integration firm, announced the acquisition of California-based SkyPilot Networks, Inc., a provider of long-range wireless mesh broadband equipment.
SkyPilot offers broadband wireless through a high bandwidth system and standards-based, wireless architecture.
Founded in 1985, SkyPilot has more than 500 customers in 50 countries including utilities, wireless Internet service providers and municipal agencies, according to a press release. Utilities have already deployed Trilliant and SkyPilot technology together successfully.
