Having joined Siemens in 1998 after 10 years in private computer and networking consultation, Jeff spent the next 13 years in designing, architecting and deploying carrier grade, Informational Technology networks for major telecoms in North America focusing on networking, applications, and Cybersecurity. Over the past 7 years, Jeff has been specializing in Industrial Control Networks bringing Informational Technology security and best practices into the Operational Technology environment for Utilities, Oil & Gas, Transportation and Rail, among other industrial networks.
In addition to hosting a cybersecurity NERC CIP roadshow aimed at helping U.S. utilities prepare for the transition from CIP v3 to CIP v5, Jeff has spoken at several international cybersecurity forums. He is a contributor to the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence NIST SP 1800-7c Situational Awareness for Electric Utilities Practice Guide.
In the past several years, Jeff assisted in the development and planning of Cybersecurity solutions in the Operational Technology environment in 10 countries, utilizing industrial standards such as NERC CIP, NERC 1300, NIST, ISO 27001, National Council of Operations: Article #733, IEC 62443, and IEC 61850 and the European NIS Directive.
