Early this year, for example, the central Florida electric company unveiled the QuickPay Program, which gives customers the ability to pay their bills online. The electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) service makes it possible for customers to view their bill on KUA`s Web site, then pay the amount they owe with the click of a mouse button.

Natsource LLC, an institutional energy broker, announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Sandefjord, Norway-based CBF Energy Brokers Ltd. In combination with Natsource`s partner, London-based Tullett & Tokyo Plc, the venture creates a global brokerage powerhouse geared toward European energy trading markets.

FPL switches off Northeast power marketing efforts

FPL Group Inc. (FPL) recently found another supplier for its unregulated power and natural gas customers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, completing the company`s withdrawal from unregulated retail marketing, a FPL spokesman said. The changes were announced by PP&L Resources Inc. (PPL) which said its retail marketing arm, PP&L EnergyPlus Co., has agreed to serve the customers of FPL Energy Services in the two states. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
