Abraham says lower prices don’t signal end to energy problems

HOUSTON, July 20, 2001 – Energy Sec. Spencer Abraham said despite easing concerns about prices and supplies, the US still faces a significant energy crisis.

July 20, 2001–The growing focus on energy reliability and reasonable pricing has prompted state and federal authorities to address the infrastructure problem. But utility investment in transmission is only half of what it was 10 years ago.
