JACKSON, Mich., Jan. 11, 2001—The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved Consumers Energy’s request to transfer its electric transmission system assets to a new wholly owned subsidiary, Michigan Electric Transmission Company (Michigan Transco), and set up new tariffs for Michigan Transco.
