Black & Veatch Corporation and Siemens propose cross-country power grid as solution to energy crisis in U.S.

The TransAmerica Grid (TAG), which was recently presented to President Bush’s Energy Policy Task Force, would establish a network of direct current power transmission lines that would deliver bulk power throughout the US. This would allow power to be transmitted from many energy sources throughout the country.
