California ISO chooses Siemens software for transmission planning

Raleigh, NC, Feb. 12, 2008 — The California Independent System Operator (California ISO) has selected the Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution Inc., Siemens Power Technologies International (Siemens PTI) PSSE software suite to augment their transmission planning processes. The software includes the new probabilistic reliability features (TPLAN) recently included in the PSSE Version 31 base system.
