Constellation to provide electricity to Texas Public Power Pool

The Texas Public Power Pool selected Constellation to supply its members with 2,700 gigawatt hours of low-cost electricity following a competitive bidding process. P3 is one of the largest electricity aggregators in Texas, purchasing power for about 69 local governments and public entities.

According to P3, the three-year agreement with Constellation, beginning in 2014, provides a commodity supply rate to its members that is 31 percent lower than the commodity component of their electricity costs under their current contract. Constellation can also help them to earn additional revenue through participation in load response programs.

Constellation is a national leader in providing comprehensive energy solutions to federal, state and local agencies as well as private sector firms that range from small businesses to the Fortune 100.  The company currently serves more than 380 federal government sites and 4,000 government customers in 47 states.
