Cooper Power Systems Expanding South Milwaukee

Waukesha, Wis, August 4, 2011 Cooper Power Systems, a provider of integrated smart grid technologies, is expanding its South Milwaukee manufacturing location in response to growing global demand. The Cooper Power Systems South Milwaukee location, where specific components for switchgear and transformers are manufactured, has seen a significant increase in sales prompting the approval of a $5.5 million capital investment to expand its machining and process capability.
“Cooper Power Systems has seen significant growth, specifically with products manufactured at our South Milwaukee facility, as our utility customers focus on improving reliability and power distribution efficiencies,” said Mike Stoessl, Cooper Power Systems president.
The company, a division of Cooper Industries plc, engineers and manufactures medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment integrated with software, communications and engineering services to deliver electric power throughout the world. Cooper Power Systems products include transformers, capacitors, voltage regulators, reclosers, distribution switchgear and biodegradable transformer fluids.
