Fairfax, VA, January 27, 2003 — KEMA Inc. recently announced that Dr. Ralph D. Masiello joined the consultancy as Senior Vice President of Bulk Power Services.
Masiello will manage all aspects of KEMA’s bulk power services business area in providing a full range of strategic and practical implementation consulting to all facets of the electric power marketplace, including electric utilities, power pools, independent power producers, RTOs, ISOs, TRANSCOs, GENCOs, power marketers and regulatory agencies.
Masiello brings to KEMA over 20 years of experience in transmission and distribution operations, implementation and control systems at many of North America’s largest utilities, energy scheduling and optimization, and control center projects, including the setup of systems for energy markets and ISOs around the world.
Masiello previously served as Caminus Executive Vice President for Development, covering trading and risk systems, and was formerly the global business unit manager for Energy Information Systems with ABB. Masiello is a Fellow of the IEEE, and earned his Ph.D., MS and BS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
