Energy secretary announces success of federal plan to increase power transmission on California’s Path 15

Thirteen proposals were submitted by the end of last week in response to the federal government’s request for investors to build the Path 15 expansion and help relieve a serious bottleneck in the flow of electricity from Southern to Northern California.

WASHINGTON, Wash., July 23, 2001 – The Executive Committee of the National Energy Marketers Association (NEM) approved NEM’s “National Guidelines to Implement Competitive Advanced Energy Metering and Related Information Technologies.”
