FirstEnergy Solutions to power up the Pittsburgh Steelers

Akron, Ohio, October 12, 2010 — FirstEnergy Corp. announced that its competitive subsidiary, FirstEnergy Solutions, will begin supplying electric generation service to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field for a five-year term beginning April 2011.

FirstEnergy Solutions currently provides energy-related products and services to retail customers, including supplying electric generation to more than one million residential and business customers throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan and New Jersey.
