Intergraph welcomes Geonetics into Utilities & Communications Registered Solutions Center program

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 3, 2003 — Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions has announced that Boston-based Geonetics, Inc., has signed a contract with Intergraph to become a Utilities & Communications Registered Solutions Center (RSC).

Geonetics specializes in application development and implementation/integration services for organizations in the utilities, transportation, facilities management, engineering and government sectors. Intergraph’s RSC program provides companies who are considered best of class in their field with technical expertise and premium support.

The alliance with Geonetics will target long-term users of AM/FM/GIS technology who are poised to upgrade stand-alone legacy systems to work more efficiently. Geonetics’ expertise is in helping these companies understand and benefit from the greater power spatial data integration can bring to their business operations.

As an RSC program member, Geonetics will help utility clients transition their geospatial technology into Intergraph’s Geospatial Resource Management (GRM) environment where functions such as work order management and customer service can be integrated with AM/FM/GIS technology. Intergraph’s GRM environment optimizes end-to-end processes and provides enterprisewide system integration, enabling company personnel to make better-informed decisions, reduce costs and boost productivity.

Geonetics’ Vice President, Tom Janes, said, “We are pleased that Geonetics and Intergraph will be working together. This relationship will enable us to provide our clients with proven solutions that facilitate efficient business practices, resulting in higher profitability and customer satisfaction.”

“We are excited to be partnering with Geonetics, which brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise in enterprise data integration,” said Arthur Spencer, Executive Vice President of Utilities & Communications division, Intergraph Mapping and Geospatial Solutions. “Geonetics is strategically positioned to help utilities transition aging systems into Intergraph’s proven GRM environment, which meets market demands for open, easily integrated systems.”
