Burlington, MA, Jan. 28, 2008 — KEMA has acquired the business of Northeast Inspection Services (NISI), a provider of specialized non destructive testing (NDT) services for the power generation industry. The acquisition of the Schenectady, New York-based firm’s assets is part of KEMA’s growth strategy for its technical and operational services. With the acquisition, KEMA roughly doubles its NDT service capacity.

For over 20 years, NISI has been providing specialized NDT services for turbine manufacturers, commercial utilities and individual plant sites, steam path engineering consultants and specialized turbine service shops. NISI supports critical schedules during seasonally planned outages.
