LADWP deploys distribution transformer metering devices

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) chose GRID20/20 Inc., a distribution transformer monitoring solutions provider, to deploy its devices within targeted areas of the city. LADWP said the devices would help the utility deepen their smart grid distribution management capabilities.

According to GRID20/20, the new system addresses the utility’s distribution optimization and automation needs, including critical asset loading data, preventive maintenance awareness, increased outage notification capability, costly power theft loss detection, conservation voltage enhancements and many additional smart grid value propositions.
