Metadigm Services substation goes live for Athens Utilities Board

Atlanta, June 25, 2012 — Metadigm Services, which provides utilities real-world solutions for asset management and maintenance as well as smart meter deployment, today announces the completion of a new substation engineering project for Athens Utilities Board.

The 161 kV to 12.47 kV substation is located in Niota, Tennessee and primarily provides power to the surrounding community and improves reliability to Athens Utility Board’s overall grid.

The substation just came online, providing the residents of the area experience with more consistent voltage and an improvement in reliability of service.

Metadigm Engineering has designed 30 substation projects in the last 3 years and is licensed in 6 states. Each substation has an effective life of about half a century.
