Motorola buys developer

Motorola`s Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions Sector (CGISS) has acquired Software Corporation of America Inc. (SCA), a Stamford, Conn.-based developer of wireless software applications. Company officials expect the convergence of wireless communications, the Internet, and new data systems to create an even stronger demand among utilities for software applications that integrate wireless voice, data and video transmission.
