Circuit Breaker Analysis

Circuit Breaker Analyzer Inc.’s Circuit Breaker Analyzer application (CBAnalyzer) for Windows 7-compatible tablets and personal computers helps customers avoid unplanned downtime and confirm arc-flash calculations based on trip times without the need to modify existing equipment or remove it from service. The app also allows users to operate the breaker in any sequence desired, including trip, charge or close. The vibration data created by the breaker operation is captured, displayed locally against previous tests and analyzed via a Web-based application to identify potential problems based on vibration signature and the model of the breaker under test. Data saved to the online accounts can be used for equipment management, trending and further analysis options, including specialized issue diagnosis.

Aerial Cable Systems

Hendrix Wire & Cable Inc.’s Aerial Cable Systems (ACS) is a viable alternative for 15-kV to 46-kV overhead covered conductor installations where reliability has been a concern and is ideal for handling tough applications like substation exits, underbuilds and long spans or environmentally sensitive areas like coastal or heavily wooded installations. Hendrix is offering new ways to decrease circuit design time, improve process efficiency during installation and lower overall costs. By using its own field apps, FieldCOM and FieldENG, Hendrix is reducing circuit design and proposal times to three weeks. The apps are the industry’s fastest, most comprehensive way to capture data and design aerial cable systems. Rapid cycle times for product and delivery expedite the process even more. The Hendrix ACS initiative also offers custom lengths so customers purchase only what is needed.
