Schneider and Azteca establish partnership to meet the needs of government agencies

Indianapolis, Ia., September 26, 2002 — Azteca Systems and The Schneider Corp. have combined forces to provide asset management services and software to municipal and county agencies.

This relationship provides the opportunity to expand the customer base of Schneider and Azteca by creating a powerful partnership to meet the needs of government agencies. “As an established GIS service vendor to cities and counties,” said Brian Haslam, President Azteca Systems, “we are very excited at the opportunities that the Schneider partnership brings to Azteca.”

Schneider will become a reseller of Azteca’s software Cityworks, a powerful, flexible and affordable GIS-based Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution that provides public works and utilities the ability to inventory physical assets, issue and track work orders, and manage customer needs in one seamless environment.

Cityworks leverages an agency’s investment in its GIS and combines it with scalable database systems to provide a true work management solution. “The partnership of Schneider and Azteca delivers a solution to government agencies for asset management that integrates into existing GIS environments without expensive reengineering. Schneider looks forward to delivering the industry leading Cityworks solution to city and county agencies throughout the Midwest,” said Eric Torok, Director of GIS Services at Schneider.
