Survalent commissions SCADA system for Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative

Survalent Technology, provider of smart grid solutions for the control room, commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative, Texas.

TVEC is an electric distribution cooperative serving more than 50,000 meters. TVEC is an electric power system that is owned and controlled by the people it serves. It is chartered by the state of Texas and provides electric service to members in the northeastern Texan counties of Anderson, Dallas, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman and Van Zandt. As an electric cooperative, TVEC is operated on a nonprofit basis.

The new system features Survalent’s open-architecture system based on Windows Server. It includes several of Survalent’s open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequence, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard and Control Panel, SCADA Add-In, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, Operations and Outages Accounting, SCADA Replicator, Power Factor Control, MultiSpeak and WebSurv.
