Survalent commissions SCADA system Greenville Utilities Commission

Survalent Technology, a provider of smart grid solutions for control rooms, commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for Greenville Utilities Commission, North Carolina.

Greenville Utilities Commission provides electric, water, sewer and natural gas services to the city of Greenville and a large portion of Pitt County. GUC serves a combined total of more than 135,800 customer connections and is owned by the citizens of Greenville. GUC is a member of the North Carolina Association of Municipal Electric Systems, ElectriCities of North Carolina, Inc. and North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency.

The new system features Survalent’s open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent’s open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequence, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard and Control Panel, SCADA Add-In, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, System Configuration Status, SCADA Replicator, MultiSpeak, WebSurv and Voltage Reduction.
