Texas, Nebraska utilities sign agreement for engineered parts support

Austin Energy is a community owned electric utility serving the city of Austin, Texas. The OPPD provides electricity to 13 counties in Southeastern Nebraska and is a subdivision of the Nebraska state government (the only all-public-power state in the U.S.).

AUSTIN, Texas, May 23, 2001 – The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) and American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) have announced a joint development agreement that will improve the capacity and reliability of electric transmission systems in South and West Texas.
